Physical Resurfacing

Microdermabrasion and dermaplaning are professional physical resurfacing modalities to help exfoliate upper layers of non-viable skin cells. They are often used to reduce textural irregularities, treat acne-prone and congested skin, and improve the appearance of uneven pigmentation, wrinkles, pores and scars. The newly exposed skin immediately looks and feels softer, smoother and fresher, allowing topical treatments to be absorbed easier and penetrate deeper. Potentiated by custom enzymatic and anti-oxidant applications, these popular modalities stimulate collagen production, new cell formation, and bring on a radiant glow.

Microdermabrasion: A resurfacing technique that uses a controlled gentle spray and vacuum of medical grade ultra-fine crystals to superficially abrade away top epidermal layer. This method is not used on skin with broken capillaries, inflammatory acne or rosacea.

Dermaplaning: This resurfacing technique has been enjoyed in Europe and Japan for many years. Using a modified scalpel and a gentle, steady touch, this resurfacing technique removes dead surface layers of skin as well as the vellus hair (peach fuzz). This method allows better control on problem areas and is safe to use with sensitive skin.
